One of the composers more loved of the ranchero gender in Mexico. He was born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato on January 9 1926. To the 10 years of age, and after the dead of his father, the family moved to the Mexico City where he had to leave the studies to early age to help to the maintenance of the family. In 1948, it participated for the first time in the radio, the XEX, and later in the XEW accompanied for the trio Los Rebeldes. Their first recorded song was Yo interpreted by Andrés y sus Costeños ones which was a great one success; countless more successes would continue him. He died on November 23 1973.

Songs by José Alfredo Jiménez

Amanecí en tus brazos
Alma de acero
Corazón, corazón
Cuando nadie te quiera
Cuando salga la luna
Cuando vivas conmigo
Dame un poco de ti
Despacito
El caballo blanco
El jinete
El rey
El siete mares
El último trago
La mano de Dios
La noche de mi mal
La que se fue
La retirada
Media vuelta
No volveré
Paloma querida
Pueblo chico
Que bonito amor
Serenata huasteca
Si nos dejan
Si tú también te vas
Te solte la rienda
Tú y las nubes
Un mundo raro
Vámonos
Viejos amigos

"Yo soy un humilde
cancionero y
contarte quiero,
una historia
humana."
Alvaro Carrillo
